The Mum Collective empowers women on the parenting journey so every mum can thrive not just survive.
We know being a mum is tough... in fact 1 in 5 women will experience a mental health challenge in early motherhood (and that's just the recorded stats!). Most 'traditional' mum groups focus on childhood development but what about you? We saw a gap in support out there for women so in 2024 The Mum Collective was born.
Based in Perth, Western Australia we're building a community where women can meet likeminded people, prioritise wellbeing and grow on the parenting journey together. Through in-person events we prioritise you and help you find your village so you can be the best version of yourself. Why? Because we care about the person behind the role of mum.
Daisy Lyons is a community development and communications specialist passionate about reducing social isolation in motherhood.
When Daisy had her daughter during COVID she was the first in her friendship group to experience motherhood, she had no family in Australia, no mothers group in her area and lives with the chronic health condition endometriosis - motherhood was lonely and tough! This set her on a personal journey to find her ‘village’. The Mum Collective was born out of a frustration of seeing other mum’s struggle. Daisy’s mission is simple: to connect communities and ensure no Mum is lonely.
With over a decade of experience in community development, event management, and communications in the UK and Australia, Daisy has led impactful campaigns and initiatives across local government, not-for-profit, and retail sectors. She has delivered large-scale events, from expos to panel conversations and press conferences with high-profile guests.
